Buddhism 101: Introduction to Buddhism

Buddhism 101 is the first course in a series. Other courses will offered later. These classes may be attended as a course or on a drop-in basis.
Buddhism 101: The Life of the Buddha and the Spiritual Journey
The Buddha was not a Buddhist
The World of Suffering and the Human Condition
Taming the Monkey Mind
Buddhism 102: “Traveling from Confusion to Original Sanity”
Buddhism 103: Karma, Rebirth, and Selflessness
Buddhism 104: The Four Foundations of Mindfulness
The courses are free; donations are accepted.
Each of the courses has an accompanying sourcebook by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche that is available for purchase at the Nalanda West bookstore. It is recommended that the class readings be done prior to each class.
The series is the pre-requisite for the Hinayana and Mahayana curricula.
Meditation instruction for 10 minutes begins at 7 PM before each teaching.
