With consideration for the recent King County Public Health advisory recommendations, we are making changes to our offerings.

We will not be having Tuesday Open Meditation at Nalanda West.

For Tuesday Open Meditation on March 10th, we encourage all to join us via FacebookLive on the Nalanda West Facebook page.  We may extend this through the rest of March.

A basic resting meditation practice is called calm-abiding or shamatha. Open meditation practice begins with a short instruction, chants and then alternates sitting and walking meditation.

We start with mindfulness of breathing, which supports the development of calm and clarity, and is designed to help calm the mind and bring forth its natural qualities of spaciousness, clarity and attentiveness.
