Taking Every Day Life as the Path: Tools for Awakening

Jan 26, 2019, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

“So if such thing is irritating us all the time, then its time for us to reflect and not go under the influence or power of our habitual mind, the usual routine. Instead, we should say “I’m going to approach this differently; this time I’m going to look at it, and see it and then let go, gradually. This necessity for us to gradually let go in small stages and transform our habitual tendencies seems to be a key instruction for how to travel the Path.”

Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, Six Cornerstones of Practice Of Awakening, 2014

Path of Mindful Activity presents a pre-Losar workshop of teachings, reflections, guided meditations, and experiential exercises for practitioners of all levels based on the 3rd, 4th, and 6th  of DPR’s Six Cornerstones of Our Practices on the Path of Awakening.  The first 3 cornerstones presented last year will be reviewed.

Pre-Losar is a most auspicious time to reflect on one’s practice on the cushion and off the cushion over the past year and make aspirations for the coming year. How can one progress or remove obscurations on the path without the mindfulness of these reflections?

Take this opportunity to strengthen, fine-tune, or repair the foundation of your practice and spend a day of teachings and reflective meditations with Acharya Tashi on Taking Daily Life as the Path: Tools for Awakening, based on Rinpoche’s Six Cornerstones of the Path to Awakening.

For Nalandabodhi Sangha members.

Acharya Tashi Wangchuk will teach and guide us. Midori Nakamura and Jay Sacks will assist.

In Vajra Spot

The teachings will be webcast.
