Powerful Transformation

Marcia Schmidt is the editor of Powerful  Transformation: The Alchemy of the Secret Heart Essence, which will be released later this year.

Powerful Transformation elucidates the alchemical principles of development and completion stage practices in Vajrayana Buddhism.  She will present teaching treasures of Tibetan Buddhist masters to help us understand what prevents the meditation experiences and realization from arising, and how our misdeeds, obscurations and habitual patterns can be purified by Vajrasattva and Vajrakilaya practices.

The dharmakaya state is our own essence, but we consider the dharmakaya buddha, as being `up there’ and descending `down here’ to give teachings. However, the nature of our own mind, our buddha nature itself, is the `dharmakaya buddha’. Because we fail to acknowledge this fact, the dharmakaya has to manifest some visible versatile forms for us to be able to understand what our own nature actually is. First, we should understand the basic idea. Attaining the state of enlightenment simply means becoming (one with) one’s nature – the dharmakaya state.
