Nalandabodhi Presents: Buddhism in the Age of DistractionMar 26, 2017
10:45 am - 12:00 pm
Our Latest Installment of Conversations on Buddhist Topics!
Life was always full of distractions, but this is the age of distraction having become an actual lifestyle. With our minds not living in our bodies anymore but being housed in our electronic gadgets, we are lost in the emotional whirlwinds of social media, video games, porn sites, and “alternative facts.” In that scenario, is there any chance of connecting with mind’s natural calm, serenity, and brilliance? The question is not anymore whether Buddhism is a remedy for our agitated mind and the ensuing suffering but whether we really want to let go of our favorite drugs of emotional, political, and social entertainment.
